AYACUCHO |

The colonial city of
Ayacucho, situated on the central mountains at 2750 meters of altitude over the sea level, is one of the more scenic cities of Peru. It is famous for its Holy Passion-week
procession, its numerous churches of Baroque style with Moorish influence and its rich handicraft. Although Ayacucho is notable for its Spaniard architecture, a lot of pre-Incas cultures, such as the Wari Empire and the Chanca regional
state flourished here. |
