TAMBOPATA |

The Tambopata reserve zone is located
near
to Cusco, in the southeastern Peruvian province of Madre de Dios, covering an area of 5500 hectares of undisturbed subtropical
rainforest. Research over the last two decades has showed that the Tambopata reserve zone has the
largest diversity of wildlife yet discovered in the world. It has more species of birds (595 sp.), butterflies (over 1200 sp.) and many other animal groups than in any other location of its size on earth. |
